Tea for Two | My World

When he came home from his overnight stay on a work trip, Miss Brooke was waiting for him with a table set for two.

It was tea time….

When he began to (strategically) seat himself at the miniature picnic table, I pulled out my cell phone to take a photo. As I began to tear up watching everything happen, I realized that I should use the gift that God has given me so much more for my own children and the moments that happen in our lives than I do (so, I ran and grabbed my ‘real’ camera). Though it may not seem like a lot to the outside world, for my husband, this was everything. You see, this was the first time he shared tea with our daughter. I remember being pregnant and watching commercials & movies with daddy’s and their little girls and moments like this and when it was happening-

I couldn’t believe she was even old enough for it to be happening….

And to the man who said he would never wear a princess crown, when your little girl asks in that sweet baby voice, saying no suddenly is no longer in your vocabulary. But as I’ve said before, it isn’t the beard that makes the man, it is moments like these….
