Not every portrait session goes according to how a parent might plan- especially with little ones, especially at sunrise (with said little ones). The imperfect, however, is what I think makes each and every family beautifully unique. My goal when working with parents is to have them look at the images afterwards and say, “This. Is. So. Us.” So that in 15 years they can look at their children and say “This was soooooo you!” Every smile, tear, kiss, hug, laugh is a real thing that is happening, coming from a genuine connection. I kinda love when everything doesn’t go just ‘right’…..let me show you why…. 😉
Just when he thought it was over, he turns around and sees the camera in my face and is not very happy about it- he let’s out a big “NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!” (although this could be mistaken for a bit of a celebration…) Only a GIF could really get the point across here…. 😉
