The panoramic view from the Omni Hotel in uptown Charlotte was stunning. Although incredible, it paled in comparison to the beauty and excitement that exuded from Jenny when I first saw her on her wedding day. It wasn’t super out of the ordinary for her to have such a glow because even from the first time I met with her, she was such a light – always positive, making those around her, in turn, shine brighter-sweet & loving and forever grateful for everything and everyone she encountered.
Jenny and Brooks decided that they wanted to see each other for the first time prior to their ceremony. The location they chose was the 2nd floor rooftop pool of the Omni. It was really sweet as Jenny’s dad escorted her down and watched as his little girl saw her soon-to-be husband for the first time. The moment was emotional and incredibly beautiful.
The ceremony followed at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in downtown Charlotte – I felt chills from the top of my head to the bottom of my toes once the children’s choir started singing. There was one little boy that sang Ave Maria and I just watched in awe. I have heard the expressions ‘angels singing’ a million times in my life but for the first time I felt like I was listening to it happen.
The evening ended at The VanLandingham Estate, where the band played and dancing ensued…
